We decided it was time to have a closer look at the entrance to Langstone Harbour on Hayling island. Having been there a couple of times there was a REALLY high level of microplastic contamination, particularly with nurdles. Around 16 volunteers turned up on a glorious day to do the survey and combine it with a comparison survey so we used a couple of different methods. Heavy rains the night before meant that much of the microplastic had been washed down the beach and back into the harbour but there was still plenty to see. Results will be on the digitial database in due course.
